SYRON VANES – Chaos From A Distance

Syron Vanes hails from Sweden, and has been in circulation since the early 1980s, and when you hear this album you may be surprised to know that Chaos From A Distance is actually their 8th release because a band as solid and tight as this should not have been flying under the radar for so long. Syron Vanes has a sound and musical approach very similar to the Pretty Maids, but perhaps a little more down-tuned and blended. The songs within Chaos From A Distance tend to lean towards religious topics and struggles, but those themes are wrapped in some catchy opening riffs and power chord patterns that shift into mid-tempo, grinding grooves. You’re not going to find much blistering guitar work here, but you will find well-written, catchy Hard Rock/Modern Melodic Metal tracks that are easy to listen and relate to. Check this one out … especially if you’re a fan of the Pretty Maids or bands like Voodoo Hill.
