Not a Limozeen song from Homestar Runner; but rather, the new album by Frontback. These Swedes have only one other album under their studded belts, but Heart Of A Lion sounds far beyond a sophomore effort. The unique vocals of Anlo Front can seem a bit theatrical, yet sound natural nonetheless. Her singing has been compared with Gwen Stefani but you can also think of Geddy Lee with supercharged vibrato.

This is a great album because it flows. It’s got that Appetite For Destruction pleasantry of consistent, stand-alone hits. Instrumental skill isn’t teeming with difficulty, but is very well written. The guitar solos fit every song, and all accompaniment is superb. Frontback is certainly gaining momentum. Pick up Heart Of A Lion to experience that power in a nicely-wrapped package.

Jude was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio, living in Taiwan but originally from the great state of Ohio, USA. He first got into music when a fellow weirdo in his catholic high school needed someone to play guitar with. They jammed on some Grunge Rock, but soon he got hooked on the blisteringly-fast shredding of Randy Rhoads and other greats. Later, he bought Metallica's Ride The Lightning as his first album purchase. During that time, his friends and him would end up at local Metal shows. He played in some bands himself as well.
