Hammerfall have finally settled into the stage of their career where they have seized complete control over their craft and are able to satisfy themselves as well as their fans without the need for rudderless experimentation or pompous concept albums. With Built To Last, the Swedish Metal veterans have produced perhaps the most Hammerfall sounding of all Hammerfall albums. Long time vocalist Joacim Cans reaches new sonic heights on Built To Last and this along with their signature polished songwriting and production injects a sense of youthful energy and excitement into the release.

While 2014’s (r)Evolution was a fine return to form for Hammerfall, after what some fans considered to be the slight missteps of No Sacrifice, No Victory and Infected, Built To Last is the perfect combination of what originally made Hammerfall successful and the wisdom of the Metal lessons they learned from and have taken to heart over the years.

Highlights include album opening “Bring It!”, “Hammer High”, “The Star Of Home” and “New Breed”.
