Shades of faith is the second album under the name Intensutopia and is a full blown progressive metal album including everything you would expect from the genre. Drama, mood and landscapes with thick guitars, catchy vocals with a variety of tasty and virtousic musicianship.
Shades of faith is a concept album about abuse of power in religious circuits, which follows the main character from birth through childhood where his parents leave him behind for missionary service. He is sent off to a boarding school where he and his fellow students are treated badly. Frustrated about their situation, which ends in a murder, the kids runaway. The story follows the police investigation while the congregation tries to quiet down the incident. He gives himself up and the story ends where the character reflects over whether or not he might be convicted.
As the record company Via Nocturna says, it should attract fans of Dream Theater and Avantasia amongst others.
Shades of faith was released on October 31st. Metal Express Radio will give you a 6 tracks preview after the Guest DJ Hour!
