Ancillotti is a true “family affair” band from Italy, comprised of 3 brothers (Bud, Bid, and Brian Ancillotti) and a good friend in Ciano Toscani … and they play Heavy Metal in its most basic and pure (Traditional) form. Fans of in-your-face, straightforward, or “ugly” Metal will likely love Strike Back, unless you can’t get past Bud’s slight (yet noticeable) Italian singing accent. Overall, though, you’ll find plenty of power rhythms, thunderous drums, tasty riffs, and inspired solos in this new Ancillotti album. No, you’re not going to hear anything new replete with bells and whistles when listening to Strike Back, but if you like your Metal bare-boned, greasy, and menacing, then you’ll be pleased to know that this Ancillotti/Toscani combination is as ugly as it gets!

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
