Shatter Messiah’s roots originate from Ohio, USA, and Orphans Of Chaos is their 4th release. The band plays American Power Metal (for what that term’s worth), meaning their songs are typically up-tempo with ties into Traditional Metal and Thrash. Shatter Messiah’s music is similar to better known contemporaries such as Iced Earth and Sacred Oath, but perhaps a little less polished and grittier than those bands. Orphans Of Chaos is a noble effort and is solid from end to end. There’s plenty to enjoy here, but the album could use a few added catchy vocal melodies to reach heavyweight status.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
