Ten years is a long time between albums, but the new output of US melodic hardcore band Ignite was worth every month of the wait. During all this time the band was touring and obviously perfecting the 13 tracks that follow in the footsteps of Our Darkest Days on their new album A War Against You. The release is packed with great, memorable melodies which are countered by diverse hardcore riffing, both condensed in short, in-your-face melocore songs that leave no one on their seats. The band bridges genres by even including an occasional guitar solo here and there. A War Against You is not only for the coreheads out there, but definitely worth checking out by the regular metalfan, too. The first impression is that Zoli Teglas is an incredibly fine singer. And then the melodies will do the rest.

So dragons are fine, all kinds of monsters are, cats, too, of course, just no Pandas. Sorry.
