Fatal Embrace comes from Germany … the land where Metal is wonderfully crude and simple, yet still melodic. In line with that heritage, Fatal Embrace has been around for over 2 decades, and is now releasing a 12-track album viciously entitled Slaughter To Survive. Don’t let the title fool you … because it won’t!

Fatal Embrace lays it all out via their heavy form of Thrash Metal, and grinds it out from start to finish. A few non-melodic vocal displays by Dirk Heiland take away some of this album’s finer qualities, but Slaughter To Survice is a solid release nonetheless.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
