Standing Ovation hails from Finland, and the band is celebrating their first decade together with the release of Gravity Beats Nuclear. As both the band’s name and title of this release would indicate, Standing Ovation is a Progressive Metal/Rock outfit … as pure and true to that definition as you likely will ever come across. The band focuses on off-beat topics and story lines, and the music generally follows suit with their eclectic writing. If you like oddly scripted songs along with unconventionally melodies and rhythms, then check out Gravity Beats Nuclear … all others will probably lose attention quickly.
