( votes)Fans of The Clash and U2, take note: there’s a new band in town, and their world conscious lyrics and Pop melodies just might give you a run for your money. New York based Zerobridge have just released their Havre de Grace EP. The too-short work features these songs:
Havre de Grace
Late Bloomer
Suffering Moses
The Shake
This Is My Version
The power trio has it all to: soaring vocals, strong lyrics, and excellent harmonies. While Zerobridge are still a decidedly indie band, their tracks sound of big production and that could help the band break into the mainstream -– if that is what they desire.
The hardest track on Havre de Grace is probably “This Is My Version.” An upbeat tempo and angry lyrics help this track along and make it clear why the members of Zerobridge consider themselves just a “Rock ‘N’ Roll” band — even if everyone else knows better.
Perhaps the best offering on Havre de Grace is “The Shake.” Hauntingly dark, echo effects give the production an added layer of interest. If you don’t hear the U2 similarities at the beginning of the release, then they will hit you over the head during this song. The percussion sounds just about as good as any Larry Mullen Jr. could pull off while sitting behind Bono. In short, Zerobridge really Rock.
