DarkTribe is Melodic Power Metal band hailing from France, and The Modern Age is their 2nd full-length release. The album was produced by Jacob Hansen, who has worked with the likes of Volbeat and Primal Fear, so you might get an initial idea of how DarkTribe’s sound comes across. The band plays skillfully with a well-polished and smooth sound, which generally adds the label “Melodic” to their breed of Power Metal. There’s nothing “wrong” with The Modern Age, but as inferred by the album’s title, it’s reasonable to expect to hear something “modernly” different … but, you won’t find it.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
