Crystall Ball is a veteran band from Sweden, and LifeRider is their 8th album to date. Sweden has been a recent hot-bed for the 2nd generation of Hair Metal/Melodic Metal bands, quietly (initially) taking the baton from the Sunset Strip in L.A., and Crystall Ball was one of the first in line. With the talented Steven Mageney at the microphone, LifeRider is chock full of easy to listen to and easy to relate to Melodic Hair Metal … but with balls! There are a few atmospheric keys to round out the soundscapes, making for a top to bottom successful release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
