Hailing from New York, USA for over 3 decades, Virgin Steele is releasing their 13th full-length album entitled Nocturnes Of Hellfire & Damnation. Virgin Steele had always been more of a Fantasy/Epic Metal band with a straight-forward approach to their music, but their last few releases have added Progressive elements. Topically, this new release still shows Virgin Steele taking themselves and their own collective intelligence too seriously, but by and large Nocturnes Of Hellfire & Damnation is a solid, enjoyable, catchy-at-times album. The album’s 14 tracks could’ve been reduced to uphold the highest quality standards, but a good effort nonetheless.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
