Evil is a one-man band headed up by Freddie Wolf that originally made a few waves back in the mid-‘80s, only to be put on a near-permanent hiatus.  Evil’s new release is humorously entitled Shoot The Messenger, but that whimsical title is where the humor ends.  Wolf, who wrote each of this album’s 8 tracks and played all the instruments, issues warnings throughout Shoot The Messenger focused on society’s culpability for the state of the world.  Although singer Soren Nico Adamsen tends to over-sing many of the tracks, there are occasions where you’ll hear some quality Traditional Metal being performed.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
