Loch Vostok hails from Sweden and has a handful of releases to their credit, the latest to surface being From These Waters.  Loch Vostok is a difficult band to characterize … their predominant roots seem to be buried in Death Metal, however, they throw the kitchen sink at you with other intermixed styles, making them inherently Progressive.  If you can’t tolerate “rough” vocal styles, then you’re probably best suited to stay out of From These Waters, but if softer-edged Death vocals don’t piss in your Cornflakes, then you’ll find quite a unique album here that’s bound to catch your interest.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
