Level 10 is yet another “matchmaker” concoction by Frontiers Records … this time a pair-up between Symphony X’s Russell Allen and Primal Fear’s Mat Sinner.  Both of these Metal industry heavyweights are known for their cutting edge and/or aggressive approach to their respective Metal trades.  However, Level 10’s Chapter One is a much more polished Melodic Metal album than what you’re likely accustomed to when considering Allen’s and Sinner’s affiliation with Symphony X, Adrenaline Mob, Primal Fear, or Sinner. There’s nothing “bad” in Chapter One, but it suffers greatly from a “watered down” feel and comes through very emotionally uninspired.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
