Medusa’s Child is a Swiss band with a small handful of albums to their credit. The band used to play a refreshingly raw form of Traditional/Power Metal, however, Empty Sky leans more towards the direction of Melodic Metal, focusing more on well-tailored song structures and the vocals of front man Crow. This shift in musical style seems to go well with the general topics of the 12 tracks contained within, all of which are melancholy and sad/reflective by title and through the band’s lyrics. Unfortunately, Crow’s voice isn’t the strong point of this band, making for a very overall average release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
