After a 5-year hiatus, Kip Winger and his band Winger are set to release Better Days Comin’. Joining Kip are familiar names Reb Beach and John Roth (guitars) and Rod Morgenstein (drums). Though never lacking talent, Winger was a bit of an enigma during Hair Metal’s heyday, and never enjoyed the rebirth of the genre via mega-successful touring like many of the band’s contemporaries. This release shows their talent via a handful of very strong, energetic, and catchy Melodic Hard Rock tracks, however, the album tends to fade off into the doldrums of Melodic Rock … a solid effort nonetheless.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
