Morning Dwell is a newcomer Power Metal band from Sweden that combines youthful flare with veteran musicianship. Their style is a straight mix between the unpolished speed of Helloween and the grandiose (if not Epic) production of Blind Guardian. Coming in at about 51 minutes, Morning Dwell’s self-titled release shows the band’s main strength and uniqueness comes in the form of very original, if not “playful,” riffs and guitar solos … all very interesting, to say the least. Vocalist Petter Hjerpe’s approach leans a little too much towards Michael Kiske’s style, but overall Morning Dwell demonstrates they have noteworthy potential.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
