Gus G is a highly respected guitarist, known predominantly as the leader of the Greek Power Metal band Firewind. Gus landed his “breakthrough” when Ozzy Osbourne noticed his talents and asked Gus to replace Zakk Wylde as his lead guitarist. Gus now has delved into solo album creation with I Am The Fire, and has invoked help from numerous guest musicians to bolster his creations. I Am The Fire is likely not what you’d expect from a Power Metal-bred guitarist – it’s more Modern and Melodic Metal driven, but certainly good, and the few instrumentals included impressively showcase Gus’ continued creativity.
