Kirk is a Swiss Melodic Metal band that has been silent for a decade, and Masquerade represents their return to the limelight. Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69 fame) produced the album, and booking him was the best decision Kirk has ever made in their rollercoaster career. Vocalist Thomi Rauch knocks out a great performance, oftentimes reminding of Geoff Tate during Queensryche’s Mindcrime and Empire eras. Bassist Daniel Pfister thumps out some impressive rhythms too, making for a full-rounded sound to go along with Rauch’s catchy lyrical melodies. Fans of Pretty Maids, Queensryche, and The Traceelords should enjoy frequenting this Masquerade.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
