ASKA is a Traditional/Power Metal band from Dallas, Texas USA formed in 1990 that has released a strong handful of albums during their career – Fire Eater being their 6th studio creation.  ASKA keeps the tempo moving throughout this release, and guitarists Daryl Norton and Chris Menta knock out impressive riffs and solos that ignite the flames throughout Fire Eater. Drummer Danny White and bassist Keith Knight also perform admirably, however, the production quality of this album sounds antiquated with vocalist George Call coming through too strong in the mix; making his persistent higher octave singing style more grating than artistic.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
