Remaining members of Thin Lizzy have written and released new material under the moniker Black Star Riders; a name vocalist Ricky Warwick siphoned from the 1993 western movie Tombstone.  Their debut album, All Hell Breaks Loose, was produced by Kevin Shirley, who’s worked with Iron Maiden, Zeppelin, Rush, and Aerosmith … you hear bits and pieces of all these bands in this release, but as expected, you mostly hear ‘70s-era Thin Lizzy.  Kudos go to Black Star Riders for being able to deliver solid, enjoyable, and fresh Melodic Hard Rock that remarkably still preserves that warm, classic sound of old.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
