( votes)Reinventing The Sun by The Limit should do very well. This group has the ability to transport you back to yesteryear when music was just music, nothing political, just good old fashioned Rock and Roll. Among their many influences, Rush is included in that group, and while The Limit are their own band you can hear that Rush influence coming through. Don’t let the fact that this group is only a three-piece fool you. They have a full-bodied sound, great music, lyrics, harmonies, and they sound like they have a full stage of musicians up there with them. From 2004 to early 2006, they have performed 312 tour dates, including The Jägermeister Tour, which was supported by Disturbed, Steve Vai, Buck Cherry, Living Colour, Alter Bridge, Fuel, Tantric, and former members of Blind Melon, Pearl Jam, Everclear, Smithereens, and The Spin Doctors. Touring the States and Europe in 2008 are in the planning stages.
The third track “A Little Like Dying” has got a great Eagles feel to it. Awesome harmonies with a little tambourine in the background, slow grooving electric guitar and then it starts Rockin; powerful lyrics that tell of a young woman who is living her life like she’s dying. Good song!
The fourth track “Sky Walker” has got a great U2 sound to it. Mark Daniel has got great vocal range and the diversity that his voice has makes this CD a cornucopia of musical goodness! This song also offers a little Eastern satyr feel to it that just Jazzes up the song that much more.
Track number nine is a total rocker called “The Things You Want” is reminiscent of YES back in the day. Stop and think about it … what are you willing to do to get the things you want? This is an album that you can kick back on a rainy day, pop it in the CD player, have a cold one, and rock out! The Limit totally delivers, giving you a very wide range of different sounds and styles. They know what the fans are looking for and they give you just great Rock and Roll. There will be no song on this CD that sounds like the one before it or the one after it. Sometimes it’s easy to get stuck in a musical rut, but The Limit will pull you out of any rut you may be in. Make sure you pick up this CD — you won’t regret it!
