Language of the heart is another album from Mr. Stan Bush, american AOR-master. Listening to it, I can’t help getting the feeling that it sounds like a soundtrack written for american-teenage-series (Beverly Hills, Dawsons Creek etc). It balances between big ballads and up-tempo numbers, with plenty of tear-inducing lyrics. Stan Bush have been releasing records since the early 80’s, and it’s remarkable that he didn’t score any big hits in that decade. Imagine his songs in movies like The Breakfast Club, St. Elmos Fire, Pretty in Pink! Would have been perfect, if you ask me!
If you’re into humming the riff to the Beverly Hills-series, or like the “rock” songs featured in Dawsons Creek, this album is for you.
Highlights: What I’ve got is real, A little thing.
