After two years in the making The Exploited released Beat the Bastards in April 1996. I have never been much of a Punk fan, but this material leans so much into Metal that I really enjoyed it. In this interview from 1996 vocalist Wattie Buchan tells the story of the band so far and how they appeal to Metal fans. It was obvious that we had to talk about the band’s “worldwide trail of destruction” which meant trashing hotel rooms on tour. Did the band in fact plan to release three Techno Dance mixes from the album? Wattie explains it all in this interview.
