Kiko Loureiro is a co-founder of the Brazilian Progressive-Power Metal band Angra, and Loureiro has been venerated as one of the true upper echelon guitarists in all of Metal.  His latest instrumental release, Sounds Of Innocence, represents a distinctive style departure from Power Metal, and incorporates many forms of reflective and transitional musical imagery.  If you’re looking for instrumental shredding, this release won’t feed the bulldog … but if you’re looking for a well-rounded, guitar-based work of musical art that you can listen to with a cigar and glass of scotch, then Sounds Of Innocence is a release worth noticing.
