THE FEATURED ARTIST FOR MAY 20th's SHOW will be BLACK SABBATH and their 1970 release PARANOID!!!
With the success of Black Sabbath's self-titled debut, the record company wanted the band back in the studio to record a follow-up as soon as possible, so just 4 months later, Black Sabbath was back to record Paranoid. The title track is perhaps the band's biggest hit of all time, and that was written and recorded in about 25 minutes when the band realized they didn't have enough material to fill an entire album! With 8 tracks in total, there are some mega-hits on this release, including "Iron Man," "Faries Wear Boots," "War Pigs," and the title track "Paranoid". We'll feature Side 1 of the album during the early '70s Show airing, and Side 2 during the late airing. ENJOY!!!

The Guest DJ Hour on Metal Express Radio was developed to give musicians the opportunity to divulge personal musical influences and preferences to a dedicated Hard Rock/Metal audience. The primary goal is to allow the audience to get to know the musicians' "inner workings" better via their song selections and spoken introductions. Other goals of the show are to create an opportunity for our Guest DJs to have fun reminiscing about musical influences (both past and present) and also to promote their own current releases and/or concert tours.
